Possibilities: Art Cafe & Bakery

Hungry to fill that stah-ving, aching belly? Looking for a great place to have breakfast or lunch?   Then the Art Cafe & Bakery in Atascadero is a perfect place for you to fill that desire.  With so many choices, and dietary options (gluten free?  no problem.  can’t stomach dairy products?  it’s OK),  there is something here for everyone to munch on and feel satisfied throughout the day.

Welcome to The Art Cafe’ & Bakery…Your Destination Location for Gluten Free,Dairy Free, Egg Free,Nut Free,Soy Free & Casein Free baked goods, made with Agave Nectar in place of refined sugar. We strive hard to have something for everyone so please let us know if you have a special food allergy or sensitivity, our talented bakery staff will do everything possible to help you!! We are proud to be helping people with Food Allergies, Celiac Disease, Autism, Diabetes, and those who simply prefer a Vegan diet enjoy freshly baked goods. Try some today; and tell a friend!!!

Breakfast is served everyday from 7am to 11am.  There are just a few choices, but I know that I”ll be able to find something to wet my appetitie for the upcoming day:  French Toast Sticks ($6.95);  Breakfast wrap ($7.50);  Build Your Own Breakfast Sandwich ($6.95); Fresh Fruit & Yogurt Cup ($6.50).

The lunch menu is quite expansive and luckily the prices are just about perfect.  The O’riginal Curried Chicken Sandwich is something to talk about.  Featured in O Magazine, it features a delectable combination of curried chicken, all the right spices, sliced almonds, shredded carrots, and diced tomatoes on grilled pepper jack bread.  The grilled vegetarian wrap also sounds amazing:  Freshly grilled eggplant, tomatoes, olives, and mushrooms topped with shredded Parmesan on your choice of a white or tomato tortilla.  For those of us who are meat eaters, there’s Turkey & Swiss, the classic BLT, Tuna, Grilled Chicken Tenderloin, the list goes on and on.  There are salads to choose from as well.  Whether you’re in the mood for a classic Caesar or just mixed greens, you’re sure to be satisfied.  Throw in a cup of homemade vegetable barley soup (or the tomato basil soup) and call it good.  Lunch is served every day after 11am until close (3pm).   Most of the sandwiches and salads are priced at $8.95.

Of course they offer a wide variety of drinks including sodas, juice, tea, coffee, even an italian soda.  What I’m really anxious to try is the homemade lemonade, preferably of the strawberry or raspberry variety.

What’s also great about this place is they offer free wifi, so it’s the perfect place to hang out, study, catch up on correspondence, and catch up on movie trailers on-line.  I hope you try this place out and be sure to let me know what you think!  Maybe I’ll even see you there!
